Game Boy Advance: SP Gets Upgraded Backlit Screen

Being that Nintendo has been using backlit screens since the DS launched, even including one in the Game Boy Micro, they finally decided to do away with the front lit TFTs in the GBA:SP. Most likely not wanting to stifle the sales of the Game Boy Micro, Nintendo has quietly upgraded the screen on the GBA:SP to brighter backlit TFTs. The new screen certainly looks worlds better than the older one, which you can see in this comparison image. In my opinion, this makes the Game Boy Advance: SP the best bang for the buck in the portable gaming market. The best part of all this is that, even with the upgrade, the GBA:SP still sells for the same price - a cool $79.99.
