In a huge blow to GameCube owners, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess won’t see the light of day until April 2006 - or later.
“After much discussion, the Zelda development team has requested extra time to add new levels, more depth and even higher quality to Zelda: Twilight Princess. Consequently, we’re announcing a new global launch in 2006,” stated Perrin Kaplan, Nintendo of America’s vice president of Marketing and Corporate Affairs. “While this may come as a disappointment to many eager fans, it will absolutely enrich the game.”
This comes as a huge disappointment to GameCube owners who were very hyped to receive a Zelda fix this holiday season.
All is not sad in the world of Nintendo, however, as the big N announced that the Game Boy Micro will be released on September 19, and the DS will be $20 cheaper come August 21.
