Remain in Play

Have you ever been in the mood to play a new game, but did not have the cash or the will to leave the house and go buy or rent one? I was in one of those kind of moods just the other day. After doing a little searching of my own to find something to do, I ran into the Web site Remain in Play.

The idea of Remain in Play is simple. Take all the games that have been released again as freeware and list them on one Web site. All of the games listed have been turned into freeware by their copyright owners. What type of games are listed? How about playing Duke Nukem 3D? Quake II? Wolfenstein 3D? Grand Theft Auto?

Sure some of the games might be a little dated, but that is half the fun. Right now my computer isn’t exactly top of the line. Some of the newer games coming out, I know will not run on my machine. Now I can take a step back in time though and get loads of free games that I know will run on my computer.
