Two of the more eagerly anticipated games - Capcom’s Killer 7, and n-Space’s Geist - have had their release dates pushed back into late summer. Both games, originally announced for a release years ago, have seen several setbacks, including lack of funding as well as development and production issues.
Capcom’s cell-shaded shooter from Japanese designer Goichi Suda, Killer 7, which was originally slated to be released in 2003, ha been pushed back yet again, to July 7, 2005.
“The official ship date for Killer 7 is 7/5, with the game hitting store shelves on 7/7,” a Capcom representative commented. “This way, stores will have Killer 7 on 7/7. Kind of a cool play on dates.”
Today has not been the best of days for GameCube owners as Geist, a first person shooter from Florida-based n-Space, originally slated for a 2004 release, has also seen its release date pushed back. According to a representative, Geist will surface “sometime in August.”
