Another leak - this one from a Danish magazine “Game Reactor” - literally confirms everything we’ve been hearing on the Xbox 360, and then some!
According to the article, about 15 games will be available at launch including Perfect Dark Zero. The article also confirms that Halo 3 is in development (as if we didn’t know), as well as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
It will be released in less than six months. Europe will get it one week after the US, and a Japanese launch is scheduled for December.
Between 10 and 16 games will be available on launch day including Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Kameo. Also in development – Halo 3 (you knew it!), Gears of War, NBA 2k6, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Godfather, The Darkness, Call of Duty 2, Rallisport Challenge 3, Ghost Recon 3 and Test Drive: Unlimited. Also rumored for Xbox 360 is Peter Molyneux’s latest creation, Dimitri. Take a look at the Ghost Recon shots on page 4, very impressive.
The console won’t run at full power when watching a DVD, so the noise from the fans will be greatly reduced. The controllers are charged via a USB cable link to the Xbox 360, and regular rechargeable batteries can also be used. Apparently you’ll be able to transfer stuff from a digital camera or even an iPod!
The rumored Silver version Xbox Live is real, and will be free out of the box.
