Nintendo DS to get Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

In what appears to be a major boost for the Nintendo DS, Sam Fisher is slated to make an appearance in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for the Nintendo DS. Scheduled for release this June, this handheld version will feature eight missions, with one new mission completely original to the DS. All of the great gadgets and stealth combat moves from the console version will make an appearance, plus Sam will get a new move labeled the “Swat Turn.”

Since this game will be on the DS, the touch screen will play a large role. With it, the players can switch between the three vision modes (normal, night, and thermal), use it to manage their inventory, and use it to control the camera movement. According to the article on IGN, there will also be special mini-games specific to the touch-screen.

The most exciting thing about this release, however, is the news that there will be wireless multiplayer, which will feature cooperative and versus modes.
