Sony confirmed through GameSpot recently that an official PlayStation 3 unveiling event will take place before E3, which will be held from May 18 to 20. Sony also mentioned that no date is set for the event, but added that it won’t be taking place at the Game Developers Conference next month.

It seems like Sony wants to find away to over shadow the Xbox 2 news that has been making its rounds on the internet lately. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft and Nintendo respond to this.
