EA Grabs 60% Of Digital Illusions’ Shares

Electronic Arts (EA) announced the completion of its offer to the shareholders of Digital Illusions CE (DICE) which results in EA becoming the majority owner of the Swedish game developer. Currently EA owns 59.8% of the controlling interest with a possibility of bringing the holdings up to 67.3% if EA decides to exercise warrants it holds.
DICE’s development portfolio includes such titles as Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, RalliSport Challenge 1 & 2 and Midtown Madness 3. The company is currently working on the highly anticipated Battlefield 2 for EA.
