Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Sells 1.8 Million Copies

Ubisoft proudly announced that their latest Prince of Persia title Warrior Within sold 1.8 million units in its first two weeks on store shelves. The company also disclosed that the game ranked fifth in the US during the first week of its release.
Here’s a snippet from the press release
“With this second opus for the Prince of Persia® brand, Ubisoft proves once again its ability to firmly establish its brands during a holiday season exceptionally rich in hit titles,” said Yves Guillemot, President and CEO of Ubisoft.
These are excellent numbers for Ubisoft as last year’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time didn’t sell as much as the company expected despite the heavy praise it garnished from the gaming community.
