This certainly sounds strange to say the least. According to Game Gossip, there is a new Garfield game on the horizon called Battle Hawks & Garfield - The Search For Pooky.
Sounds like a cross between a comic strip and an episode of Robo-Tech to me.
InterActive Vision Games today announced development of two new Game Boy Advance titles, Battle Hawks and Garfield - The Search For Pooky. Battle Hawks is based on InterActive Vision Games’ series for the PS2 and PC, putting players behind a helicopter while battling global terrorism in an anti-terror task force. The game fits into the 3D action rail shooter genre, including 10 levels spanning air, land and sea missions, boss battles, various weapons and power-ups, and the ability to earn mission based medals.
Meanwhile, Garfield - The Search For Pooky is based on the Garfield comic books and franchise, setting players in a 2D platformer adventure as Garfield to find his stuffed bear Pooky. The game will include two difficulty levels, 12 levels to play through spanning six locations, and a number of power-ups. Both Battle Hawks and Garfield - The Search For Pooky will be released this holiday season.
