With the continuance of action based RPGs, the rumor that ‘The Bards Tale‘ has shipped has not really caught me that off guard. Game Gossip reports that it has shipped all over North America.
Designed for both the PS2 and Xbox, The Bards Tale will give the both the RPG lover and the action-based gamer something to get excited about. Christmas is just around the corner. I would say the likelihood of the game actually hitting store shelves is very likely.
Developer inXile Entertainment issued word today that The Bard’s Tale has shipped throughout North America for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. The first game to be released by the company, The Bard’s Tale fits into the action role-playing game (RPG) genre, putting players in the role of the Bard, a musician and adventurer, as they venture throughout Orkney Island off the coast of Scotland. The Bards Tale features voice work by actor Cary Elwes of “The Princess Bride” and “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” fame, and carries the ESRB rating of “T” for teen. The PC version of The Bard’s Tale is scheduled for a Spring 2005 release.
