I don’t care if you are Canadian or American. When you hear the name Gretzky, you think hockey. The mans name is in constant sync with hockey gaming titles as well. At any rate, today I have been reading that the Gretzky NHL 2005 Release Date will be November 9th, 2004. So those of you that have been salivating for this game to be released will have to hope that the rumor for the date above is in fact accurate.

Following both the ATV Offroad Fury 3 and Killzone release dates, today SCEA (via PlayStation newsletter) also put forth an exact release date for Gretzky NHL 2005. Following prior “November 2004” dates; this morning’s update reveals that the game will ship throughout North America on November 9th, 2004, for the PlayStation 2. The first in the renamed 989 Sports series of hockey titles and starring Wayne Gretzky, Gretzky NHL 2005 will be host to online play, EyeToy support, and other modes of play, including: Gretzky Challenge and Rivalry Mode.
