Pokemon: A High Seller For The GBA

Nintendo has announced that the latest installments in the Pokemon series, Fire Red and Leaf Green have sold a combined 1 million units since their September 7th release. The two games are remakes of the originall red and blue cartridges that were released in the late 90s that kicked off the Pokemon phenomenon. The only difference is that each version of the game comes bundled with a wireless adaptor that allows players to battle each other wirelessly head-to-head. Nintendo reports that sales of the GBA SP are also up 70% since its price drop to $79.99 US earlier this month (a drop of approximately $20).
