In efforts for Microsoft to totally take over everything you do, they are now hyping the fact that the Xbox 2’s peripherals will work with the new Longhorn version of Windows in development. Longhorn will also provide support for Xbox Live functionality for the new gaming system.

Although this might sound cool at first, it fears me how much Microsoft would like to blur the line between the two. However, I know this will please a lot of folks who will own both a Longhorn branded PC and an Xbox 2. I’ll just say let us see how good of a job they can do with it before we start to pat anybody on the back too hard.
