First they were against it, now they are for it. No, this has nothing to do with Bush or Kerry but everything to do with portable gaming. Last week sometime, Sony let it be known that they were not going to have anything to do with MP3 playback in the new Playstation Portable.

Now it would seem that they have done a total turn around saying that the PSP will have MP3 playback capabilities. It seems now they are going into the same iPod market as well as the one ruled by the folks at Nintendo. Personally, I want my device, no matter what it is, to do a job and do it well.

This, to me, goes into the same category as a TV and VCR combo. They have a functionality for both, but don’t do either very well. Right now it is too soon to say though, so I will leave my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
