Sega has announced that the new Matrix MMORPG, simply called Matrix Online, will be launched on January 18, 2005. This game will offer at least three options to players:

1.) The ability to interact with such colorful characters as Neo46582, Ag3nTsm1tH, architect6969 and MoRphEus_Ballz.

2.) An attempt to make up for the last two disappointing movies in the Matrix trilogy. The plots of banding together with a bunch of geek friends to shoot at sentinels and talk about how hot Trinity’s leather jumpsuit is should easily outdo anything presented in either “Reloaded” or “Revolutions”.

3.) A far better game interpretation of the movie universe than offered in “Enter the Matrix”. I heard through the rumor mill that Matrix Online may even feature tolerable gameplay!

Look to “plug in” (or whatever) to the Matrix this January.
