It is smaller, sleeker and just cooler looking than version one. That’s how you can sum up the newest addition to the Sony family. Thanks to the new hardware, the new PS2 is only 2.8cm thick, compared with 7.8cm on the current console, and reduces the internal volume by 75 percent.
Other than the cute new look, Sony has also built in network adapter into the machine. As of right now, it doesn’t look like there is a place for the hard drive addition, due to the small size though. Also, the iLink functions have been removed as well. Back on the good side of things though it does have a built in IR receiver for the DVD remote.
The new PS2 will see release on November 1 in North America for around a suggested price of $149.
