Top 50 Influential Games of All Time

The folks at 1UP.com are counting down the top 50 influential games of all time. Currently they are at number thirty-two with Street Fighter. Some of the other games highlighted so far are: Pacman, Sonic the Hedgehog, Doom, and Tetris.
A few of my own personal favorites, such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Metroid, are still missing in action from the list. There are still eighteen more to go, so all hope is not lost just yet. I spent many hours with all of the games on the list and can not find a place where I disagree with them yet. Looking back, we can perhaps gain a better understanding of where today’s games came from.
