Known as one of the pioneers of the Japanese anime frontier, Astro Boy has finally made his way into his very own video game. In fact, he is staring in two new video games from Sega of America Inc.

Astro Boy: Omega Factor for the GameBoy Advance is your usual side scrolling adventure. Your fighting the bad guys, and trying to save the world. In the PS2’s title, Astro Boy, you are doing the same thing, but this time in a 3D environment. Since 1952, Astro Boy has been able to keep up a decent fan following over in Japan. The basic story of a boy who is half robot and half human who wants peace between robots and humans alike is classic to say the least.

Will the Astro Boy franchise do as well in the states as it has overseas? Only time will tell.
