According to GameSpot.com, Swedish inmates are no longer being allowed to play video games.

“The Swedish prison service has banned PlayStations and other gaming systems in its prisons, according to reports in the Swedish press. The internet connectivity and inherent unmonitored communication in the current generation of consoles proved to be too much of a security risk, officials said.”

That makes me wonder what the incentive was to not break the law in Sweden before this ban went into effect. Free room and board, free meals and video game consoles in your cell? Isn’t that just like living with your parents?
