Final Fantasy XI Ready To Hit PCs In Europe

Square Enix announced yesterday that Final Fantasy XI, their successful first stab at the world of massively multiplayer online RPGs, would be released for the PC in Europe on September 16. The game will come packaged with two expansion packs, Rise of the Zilart, and the forthcoming Chains of Promathia. The release is set to coincide with the Japanese and North American releases of the latter expansion pack. The European version of the game will cost about 50 euros, which translates into about $60 US. The Square Enix representative also reportedly began mopping their brow while muttering “Oh dear God, what have we done?”.
