I was going through today’s blogs when I saw a title that attracted me as I am a muslim. What I came accross was an article written by someone who apparently has no understanding whatso ever on Islam, and has babbled on about a topic he has no clue of. Below is the article in full.
Allah is becoming more popular now then ever before, it seems like everyone is a muslim now, so i thought to myself “maybe allah does love me” so i looked in the Quran to see what allah has to say, and here are some loving verses from that holy book. (2:24 And if ye do it not - and ye can never do it - then guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones.) ?? ummm, ok but im sure allah will give me a way to be saved! right??
(2:6 As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not.) crap. but allah cares and wants the best for everyone, right?
(2:10 In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie.) but muslims are always saying “go to allah, he will show you the truth) i’m sure he will.
(2:7 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom.) wow… so next time you talk to a muslim just read the quran to him… it will scare the crap out of him!!
I can takee out verses from the Bible that are quite controversial, but is the point here to mock a religion or to respect a religion? I’s confused??? Taking out 4 verses from the Koran or Quran, and writing on about how the Islamic religion does not sound like a good enough reason to state that Islam is scary. These verses are in the context of certain situations and one who has read the entire Quran can only understand this. Unfortunately, the community member who wrote this article has not read the Quran and is making statements which are not only offensive, but also disrespectful to others religion.

dude im sorry,im not trying to disrespect anyone, but i cant help but notice that you didn’t try to refute the verses i pointed out, and you didn’t give good happy verses to try to show that Allah is a loving god. i only pointed out 4 verses because thats all i needed to point out. please show me what im not understanding.

Actually, it’s a very complicated subject that our minds cannot understand easily; because it is far away beyond it’s capacity; but let me simplify this topic for those who would like to know.
Allah, The God ; created time. Time is a creature from the point of view of God, so He is not subject to it, meaning; He doesn’t have to go through the time, and passing through it’s sequence. Only us “creatures” are going through it, and feel it ; as it applies to us. So the God sees the future , the present , and the past momentarily (instantly); and that’s why you would see all the stories about the future events that are going to happen in the future ; mentioned in the Quran. The fact is; everyone has a choice; meanwhile, the God knows what’s his choice is going to be in advance. I know it’s complicated, but any scientific thinker will understand that. It’s like a circular logic; if you know what that is.
The believer has a choice; and he choose to believe and follow rules of God; and God knows he is going to believe since ever; even before that someone was born. so as the disbeliever ; he has the chance, and he rejects it; God knows he is going to reject it since the beginning.
Now, believing or disbelieving; why does it matter that much so that it will be rewarded with paradise or tortured in hell? Let me assume an example; which preferably would be a technical one. Suppose that you are a programmer, and you created a program. You give orders and instructions; creating codes. What happens if your product acts exactly the same way you intended? You would save it and keep it safe in a good storage. Now what happens if it acts abnormally; with bugs; and violates all the instructions you have given? Of course you would cancel it or delete it or even shred it. The question for everyone of us is; are you doing what you have been designed/ created for ? are you following your creator rules or ignoring them? The matter here is not love or hate; it is a matter of purpose in life.
The paradise is metaphorically speaking; an eventually -final settlement- place for good creatures; contains all their dreams and wishes; which in our needs as human will be delicious food; all sensual needs; beautiful life style… etc. As for hell; it’s also a metaphor for the final settlement of bad creatures ; bad closure for them. If you think about it; it’s the process of putting everything in it’s right place. for example; if you have a serial killer; you put it in a horrible prison for life or may even execute him on electric chair. If you have a thieve; jail it is. if you have someone guilty of something simpler; spending time in social work services would be enough for that. On the vice versa; what happens for someone honest - hardworker - productive? You would promote him; acknowledge him; give him a Nobel prize…etc. The process of judgment is simply putting everyone in the right place, and it varies on many levels. we are not talking here about one paradise and one Hell; as a matter of fact; they have may levels. There is the darkest hell; the middle hell; the surface hell, …. the highest paradise, the middle one….etc.
Finally why is it so important to believe? Why can’t you just act good on your own without believing? ….. Because if you beleive you will follow the the exact and the most valid pattern designed for life. if you disbelieve, you would rather risk to misjudge something or adopt bad rules or controls; or even worse; you would ignore all that and live your life to satisfy your desires to the fullest; which will lead you to bad path and negative closure in many cases. anyway; the judgement is up to the God; and no one knows for sure who is going to be where.
I hope I clarified this point somehow; although I admit as I said earlier; it’s beyond our mind capacity to comprehend it. Yet ; I find it so much reasonable. Unfortunately; everyone will be holding on his original religion and will find it the most reasonable; anything else would be false. A christian would still believe his religion is the best; a Jewish would do the same; and the muslim too. The fact is everyone has a logic to justify his/her believes. The life is like a large port with many roads; with only one of them leads to the correct destination.
You guys should study more carefully before you misunderstand something and shoot.
