You’re Not Wasting Time Online; You’re ‘Brain Training’
If you are reading this, it is likely that you have heard from family and friends that you spend too much time online. Perhaps your significant other has questioned whether you have a life that doesn’t involve keyboard entries and mouse clicks.
If that is the case, then you might want to bookmark this post. It will give you a scientific, witty response to those people. You are not wasting your time and just tapping away at your keyboard. You are in the process of ‘brain training’:
“… you’ll get extra benefits in the form of improved cognitive dexterity and better short-term memory. So says a study presented today at the Society for Neuroscience’s annual meeting in Chicago.”

Being a bodybuilder, my brain needs all the ‘training’ it can get. Ha ha. With help from you, and your cohorts, I’ve been able to rise from idiot to imbicile, and am well on my way to moron. Those are actual classifications, by the way, though they’re most often used in a derogatory fashion. As someone who garners 411 from many diverse sources, I can honestly say that Lockergnome Nexus is truly one of the best sources for all around brain training. I turn others on to it at every opportunity. Hats off to you, Lefty, Ron, Chris and the whole gang. You guys Rock!

I’ve seen several studies in the last couple of years that conclude one important thing: The adult brain isn’t fixed but responds to exercise.
Last year, one study even showed that a carefully designed brain training exercise could even increase intelligence!! Intensive, “dual n-back” working memory training was the key.
