L.A. Lakers’ Andrew Bynum Causes a Stir with Playboy Mansion Visit

Andrew Bynum, the injured L.A. Lakers center, is generating loads of criticism because he visited the Playboy Mansion during his injury rehabilitation. To make it worse, there are pictures flooding the print media and internet with Andrew Bynum and a Playboy Playmate:

“…Wearing a green smoking jacket and slippers, Bynum, whose injury status is generating daily headlines in Los Angeles, partied like a rock star near the infamous grotto.

He picked up Playmate Nicole Narain and placed her on his shoulders and got somebody to take a picture with his digital camera.”

It may not be the most typical way to spends one’s rehabilitation time away from the team. Perhaps people think that young Mr Bynum should be home resting, icing his knees and watching videos of future opponents.

However, it begs the question: “how many twenty two year old males would turn down a visit to the Playboy Mansion?“. - Exactly! - And the Playboy Playmate is a small fraction of the weight of a Tim Duncan, Dwight Howard or Kevin Garnett. No state or federal laws were broken; a few remaining sports illusions may have been cracked. Just remember, Andrew - there is no privacy in the age of digital cameras, cell phones and YouTube. You might want to consult with Michael Phelps about that if you have any questions. Carry on…

I’m not a sports guy at all but I’m left wondering what all the nonsense is about.

Even if the guy undid all the work done so far, who cares?

We sure pick weird stuff to get upset about, don’t we?

What Do You Think?
