These snake oil sales people take advantage of people’s fear for quick profits. The lure of the large profits is a huge temptation, especially in a poor economy where jobs are vanishing. Be careful what you buy. Be careful where you buy. Not all security software, even from legitimate sources, are equally efficient. It is really “caveat emptor”… buyer beware.
