Citigroup Spends on a New Jet

This may trump automobile executives going to Washington, in separate private jets, to ask for corporate financial relief. Citigroup has purchased a jet:

“Beleaguered Citigroup is upgrading its mile-high club with a brand-new $50 million corporate jet - only this time, it’s the taxpayers who are getting screwed.”

Tax-payers want accountability of where the bail-out funds are going. Is there any possible sensible explanation why, in this economic climate, fifty million dollars were spent on a new just? What is the return on that investment of public funds?

I cannot believe this one. I’m a citigroup member and I’ll be changing that fact today…. seriously… this infuriates me!!! Citi you just lost a client!

Wow! As a Canadian I am happy we are not bailing out with that much money. That is plain rude!

as far as i am concerned the banks should have been allowed to fall. then the government take control of them and all of their assets. we need to end the financial tailspin created every 20 to 30 years by greedy corporations. if we the people control the banks then companies will have to tow the line.

I want my taxpayer dollars back!!
What a load of crap!!

Is anybody shocked anymore? Corporate greed is what rules our country. And it will never ever change. Politicians have talked forever about changing things. They do that just to get elected. Then what? More of the same. Greed is NOT good. It’s even one of the 7 deadly sins. All we can do is to do the best we can with what we have. But we should all express our concerns to our legislators even if it won’t do any good. One can hope that maybe someday things really will change.
