Anger at Circuit City Sales

Many of the shoppers looking for a bargain at the Circuit City liquidation sales left disappointed and angry. The expected price cuts were only ten per cent:

“…It is too early to know when prices will fall to jaw-dropping levels at the nation’s second-largest consumer electronics chain. Liquidators said discounts would increase each week as inventory levels shrank and some could reach as much as 90% in the final days.

Closeout sales are commonplace in today’s weak economy, but liquidation pricing and procedures often leave customers feeling frustrated…”

The main focus of the liquidators is to capture as much revenue from the merchandise as possible. Whether the customers are angry with Circuit City is a small concern at this point. ‘Caveat emptor’ - buyer beware - certainly applies.
