L.A. Lakers Lose Another Guard

The point guard position is becoming a growing problem for the Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan Farmar is sidelined and recovering from surgery. Now, Sasha Vujacic won’t be travelling with the team because of a back problem:
“…”Sasha’s had this before so he knows how to work his way through it, but right now the road trip would be tough for him,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said.”

This leave Derek Fisher and rookie Sun Yue as the Lakers point guards. The injury to Jordan Farmar has created increased playing time for Derek Fisher. When Derek Fisher rests, the point guard may be Kobe Bryant. The increasing number of injuries will test the depth of the Lakers and the notion that many parts of the triangle offence are interchangeable. The Lakers really have few options left at point guard.
