Charles Barkley Leaves the TNT Network
A professional aftermath of Charles Barkley’s arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol is that he will leave his television job. TNT has announced that Charles Barkley will take a leave of absence:
“…”I have spoken with Charles Barkley regarding the incident. .. and I understand he has hired a lawyer to represent him regarding this matter,” said David Levy, president of TNT Sports, in a statement. “When I spoke with Charles, he was apologetic for the events that transpired and it was obvious he understands the significance of the situation. This is an important time for Charles as he deals with the legal and personal issues that confront him. Charles is a valued part of the Turner Sports organization and we are concerned for his well-being.”"

Whether one is a fan of Charles Barkley or not, there is no disputing his candor. Many sports fans appreciate Mr Barkley’s unedited and often surprising monologues. Whether one agrees with him is beside the question. Charles Barkley will say what is on his mind.
Although this incident was reckless and irresponsible, Charles Barkley has the opportunity to speak to this issue and attain some positive benefits from his mistake. I am hoping that he does.

Sir Charles always said he wasn’t a role model…I guess he meant it.

Speaking “TO” an issue is the equivalent of talking to a wall, both are inanimate objects. You may speak about or in regard to an issue, but you cannot speak “TO” it, as it has no means of replying.

I think what happened to Charles could happen to either one of us.And i’am not judging him.I’am happy that nobody was hurt. And i wish him the best.I think he’s embarrased oven it.And should come back to work.I feel most making more out of it than what it is.Let him handle his legal issues.Just like we would have to do.As far as being a role model. This does nothing to hurt that at all. He’s being a man and standing up to his mistake. To me that’s being a good role model.Leave the man alone and let him handle his business.

He just need to handle his legal obligations and get his behind back on the set and do his job.And never drive while under the influence again. And thank God nobody was hurt or worse. This should serve as a lesson.Just as it should anyone else.

This show is very very very boring without Charles. Please hurry up and bring him back, this show is really hurting from this. I know what he did was wrong but he deserves a second chance. I hope this is resolved soon. X-MAN
