Dr Sanjay Gupta Considered for U.S. Surgeon General

There are some political appointments that transcend political persuasion. The position of U.S. Surgeon General may be such a position. What is necessary is knowledge and the ability to communicate. Dr Sanjay Gupta, currently CNN’s chief medical correspondent, has stellar qualifications:

The other key factor is that Dr Gupta is well aware how to use the media. Further, he understand the importance of being current.

The choice of Dr Gupta is inspired. Without question, the American people would benefit from Dr Gupta’s expertise and vigour. Hopefully, he will accept.
