Reggie Theus Fired by the Sacramento Kings

This is not a good year for NBA coaches. Reggie Theus was fired by the Sacramento Kings. This brings to six, the number of NBA coaches who have been fired this season. On the weekend, the Philadelphia franchise fired Maurice Cheeks:
“…The Kings have fired head coach Reggie Theus after the team’s atrocious 6-18 opening run. He will be replaced on an interim basis — and, by the way, soon the NBA will have only interim coaches — by assistant Kenny Natt.”

There are only thirty NBA teams, so the firings will come to an end. As the elite teams in each conference division advance, there may be a few coaches yet who might have their real estate agent on speed dial. It seems that team management officials have very little patience for a losing record this season.
