For those who have a National Public Radio (NPR) habit, it is not good news. The economic woes have reached NPR and there will be staff layoffs:
“Faced with a sharp decline in revenue, National Public Radio said today it will pare back its once-flourishing operations, and institute its first organization-wide layoffs in 25 years.”

As with other businesses that have trimmed staff, the challenge before NPR is to maintain the quality of their product with less people. If NPR audience begins to go elsewhere, then the problems will multiple. For the people laid off, finding work in their chosen communication sector will be daunting.

Is it the recession, or their blatant liberal bias finally biting them in the a** like the NY TImes, Newsweek, etc>>>
