Another NBA coach is unemployed. Last week, Sam Mitchell was fired as the coach of the Toronto Raptors. Today, the Minnesota Timberwolves fired their coach, Randy Wittman:
“Off to a disappointing 4-15 start and coming off their worst two losses of the season, the Timberwolves fired coach Randy Wittman this morning and replaced him with vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale on a full-time basis.”

This may not be the last of the NBA coaches to be fired. Franchises seem to have a very low tolerance for losing records this season. The business model seems to be ‘win or be replaced’. Just a glance at the NBA standings shows that the teams are separating themselves. It might be wise for some of the remaining coaches to start looking for good real estate agents. Their jobs far look less secure as they drop back from the division leading teams. Now four coaches are fired - who has ‘next’?
