Steve Nash - Suspended

Steve Nash is not one of the NBA players who comes to mind when one thinks of rough, physical play. Nevertheless, Steve Nash has been suspended for one game for his participation in an incident during a Huston / Phoenix game:
“…The NBA has suspended Steve Nash and Matt Barnes of Phoenix and Rafer Alston of Houston for their roles in a fight.
…Nash was cited for “escalating the altercation.”…”

Steve Nash was trying to be the ‘peace-maker’. He landed on his back when he tried to intervene. And he has a one game suspension as a result. Steve Nash never fares well when the play becomes overly physical. Perhaps Steve Nash should discuss that with another NBA veteran. - Paging Robert Horry…

I couldnt agree more!!! Its obvious from both sides of the bench that Nash wasnt coming over to fight Mr. Alston. Mr. Alston then threw a left jab that wasnt landed with Mcgrady throwing Nash to the ground. I truly dont think this suspension was right in any way and David Stern needs to get a clue. This somewhat altercation wouldnt have been esculated if Mr. Alston would have not thrown a punch. The suspensions given out should be Alston and Barnes. Barnes and Alston are definitely guilty, but the suspension on the NBA’s Two-Time MVP sholdnt be missing tonights game.
