Governor Sarah Palin Slams Bloggers

It is well know what Governor Palin thinks of the MSM (main stream media). It seems that she has a unique perspective on internet bloggers too. Governor Palin said that bloggers are:

kids in pajamas sitting in the basement of their parents’ homes

That is certain to stir up the internet. However, it also shows an enormous underestimation of the power of the internet. Politicians who think that the internet postings are made by “kids in pajamas” need to catch up to this century or find a different line of work.

So, do yours have feet in them? I wore mine out.

Wow. One thing I do appreciate about Obama are his technology policies. It’s hard to believe that someone as seemingly educated as Palin could have such a distorted image of the online community. Go check out some of the guys over at Engadget or Ars Technica and see if they’re living in their parents’ basement.

What this post had failed to do was to include the rest of the important context from which the quote was taken from. She did not say all bloggers are “kids in pajamas sitting in the basement of their parents’ homes”. What she did say, how ever was that the bloggers making ridiculous allegations against her such as her son wasn’t her own, but her daughter’s even when she has proof to correct those who state wrong. She DID state that those people who just make up such garbage are indeed “kids in pajamas”.

I have nothing against bloggers, I am one myself, but come on people, don’t we have something better to do than to make up false statements about people and inject them into the mainstream media?

And by the way, I’m sure if Obama said such a thing like that, it would have been shoved aside and into the woodwork just like much of the rest of the campaign. It’s a double-standard with liberals.

What Do You Think?
