The Unique Perspective of Senator Ted Stevens

Political perceptions often are confusing. Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska had a trial by jury regarding the reporting of financial disclosures. The jury convicted him on seven counts. The verdict was ‘guilty’.
In the face of these court events, Senator Stevens has a unique perspective:
“…”I have not been convicted of anything,” he maintained during a Thursday night debate in Anchorage, only days before Tuesday’s election.
The debate, sponsored by Alaska Public Television, pitted Stevens, who is seeking re-election, against his opponent, Democratic Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich, in a tight race.”

Senator Stevens is standing for re-election to the Senate. The people of Alaska will indicate, by their vote, whether they share Senator Steven’s perception.

Stevens doesn’t think he was convicted, and Palin thinks she is qualified. Maybe we should get them to stop referring to the lower 48, and start calling it reality.
