More Details on Windows 7

The initial problems of Microsoft’s Vista have been well documented. Millions of dollars in advertising are being spent in promoting Vista. However, a competing element against Vista is coming from within Microsoft itself. More details of the new Windows 7 operating system are being revealed:

“… Microsoft is focused on improving the time it takes for Windows to start up and shut down. In addition to its own work, Microsoft has been working directly with computer makers to address all of the factors that affect system performance.

As far as other features, Windows 7 features support for multitouch input and a new taskbar that makes it easier to manage multiple open Windows.”

For those who have not become Vista users, the advent of Windows 7 will be further incentive to wait. It seems that Microsoft is working against itself with the timing of Windows 7, if it is the intent of the company to convert more customers to use Vista. If, on the other hand, there is a futility about Vista, then Windows 7 is a new opportunity to convert customers. Nevertheless, it simply raises more question about the Vista product line.
