Kudos to Mimi Ausland and Her Internet Idea

Mimi Ausland is just twelve years old. However, she knows how to harness the power of the internet and she is entrepreneurial for a wonderful cause. She launched a site for dogs and cats:

“…The site, www.freekibble.com, launched April 1, with the store donating 10 pieces of kibble every time someone went to the site and answered the daily trivia question (a donation is made whether you get the question right or not.) The Humane Society of Central Oregon started getting hundreds of pounds of food. But Mimi’s idea was destined for larger things.

Within two months, information about the site had gone national, and the pet store couldn’t keep up with the demand for donations…”

Perhaps Mimi would agree with the late Walt Disney. It was Mr Disney who said “it’s fun to do the impossible”. Mimi Ausland is helping to feed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of cats and dogs in shelters. - Let’s help grow Mimi Ausland’s site. Go to http://www.freekibble.com/ and let’s tell others about Mimi’s idea. - Thanks!

Mimi goes to the top of my list of people I admire. Consider all the adult politicians there are in this country and what goals do they set forth for animal welfare? Sara Palin allows our beautiful wildlife to be shot and killed from low flying planes !!!!! This is outlandish cruelty. Thank God she isn’t Mimi’s mother.
Mimi should run for office. She’d get my vote.
Her accomplishment is a true testimony to her self being. I honor her parents for whatever they did to bring such a wonderful person into this world.
Mimi has done far more at her age then 99.9% of the celebrities whom people in this country put on pedestals. She has scored more touchdowns, hit more home runs, and recorded more hit songs than anyone ever has.
I can’t praise her enough for what she has done for cats and dogs who ask for nothing more than a healthy meal from someone who cares.
Over the years, my wife and I have rescued dozens of cats (we currently have ten), a few dogs and a horse. We know how important it is to share our world with animals of all types, and to help and care for them. People should realize that we are blessed to share our world with them.
I think the ASPCA ’s award luncheon should be televised on the Animal Planet network, like the Eclipse awards are televised on ESPN.
Congratulations to all the winners, for they are winners for life.
