Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has a high tech dog. He is able to tell where Koni, a labrador retriever, is at any moment. Koni has a global positioning system (GPS) collar and, with that, she can be tracked easily:
“…Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, a close friend of Putin, said the collar, which weighs 170 grams (6 ounces) and is equipped with transmitters, had been ready for Koni some time ago and now was the time to test it.”

As the technology shrinks the devices smaller and smaller, there might be a day soon when the obstetrician will ask if you want that baby with GPS tracking or without.
