Microsoft has begun the process of the public introduction to Windows 7. The first look will be in October:
“A first glimpse at the technology inside the next version of Windows will be given in October.
Microsoft has said that engineering information about Windows 7 will be shared with attendees at two technical conferences it runs.”

The BBC is projecting a Windows 7 release in January, 2010 - in approximately seventeen months. It seems that as many people and businesses wait for Microsoft to clear up some of the issues with Vista, a new version is beginning to be touted to the public. At some point, people will protest with their buying dollars.

Is Microsoft trying to shoot themselves in the foot….what’s up with this company?
It could 17 months just for companies to complete rollouts of Vista for crying out loud…then what, explain to mgmt why the IT dept needs another few million for yet another OS upgrade…when does it end???
How about put out a solid OS in the first place with as many bugs removed as possible…guess that’s too much to ask given the power of the almighty dollar…
