There were many who wondered if Natalie Coughlin could win the 100 meter backstroke. She is the first woman to ever defend the 100 meter backstroke title. Those who doubted Natalie Coughlin may have dismissed the fact that she is one of the fiercest competitors in the pool. She is at her best when the stakes are the highest. She has shown that throughout her swimming career.
