No Nuts Allowed

For some time now, many school districts have not allowed peanut products on the school grounds. That means that standard items like a peanut butter sandwich or any kind of peanut / chocolate products were banned items. It seems that a professional sports venue is taking people’s adverse reaction to peanuts seriously:
“…Not in sections 311 and 312 at Safeco Field on Aug. 5 and Sept. 9. Those will be peanut-controlled zones on those days, the Mariners announced this week, cleaned thoroughly the night before and all peanut products will be banned on those games. Peanut products will not be sold at nearby concession stands…”

Kudos to whoever made this decision at Safeco Field. People with an adverse reaction to peanuts are restricted in some of their activities. For example, there are some restaurants that are dangerous to patronize because there are peanuts or peanut oil in some of the food. Similar promotions by other venues would allow attendance by a small segment of the population who cannot go to these places simply because of the concern about a severe reaction.

Peanuts are one of the most toxic foods there is, and highly indigestible.
