Abby Wambach Sustains Broken Leg

Abby Wambach was injured in an exhibition match against Brazil on Wednesday evening. It is a broken leg which will require surgery. It means that Abby Wambach will miss the Beijing Olympics.
The U.S. Women’s National Team will have to defend their 2004 gold medal without one of their most experienced scorers. The National Team already was without Leslie Osborne and Cat Whitehill. Both are recovering from knee ligament injuries.
The team has a few weeks to regroup. The first game in the forthcoming Olympics for the U.S. women is August 6th. The preparation will be intense between now and the beginning of August. And, as an aside, the U.S. women won on Wednesday evening: 1 - 0…

omg!!! this is horrible!!! this should be an american crisis!!!! she is my idol!!!! how could something like this happen to her! i offically do not like the brazil national team anymore! and when i was watching that game i was wearing her jersey. and that was the game she would have gotten her 100th goal in and now she cant all because of 1 tackle on an exbition game
