These will be sites that spoof the IRS service and are nothing but phishing tools to steal confidential information. With the anxiety that people have and this resource that the IRS has provided, hackers have the perfect parameters for a phishing / identity theft scheme.

Be careful the site is legitimate before volunteering personal confidential data. Make sure that it is indeed the real IRS site.
