Merriam Webster has a wonderful resource online. It is their Visual Dictionary, which exemplifies the concept of ‘one picture, well labeled, is worth a thousand words’:

There are many times when this site combines an auditory experience with a graphic representation. For someone wanting to develop English language skills, it is ideal. This site is extremely well done and a terrific online resource.
