Divorce Via YouTube

Some divorces are contentious and acrimonious. In the past, the dissolution of a marriage was between two people and the courts. In the internet age, it may involve YouTube and the allowing privacy is be an archaic concept:

“…Some prominent New York divorce lawyers couldn’t think of another case where a spouse - in this instance, the wife of a major Broadway theatre operator - had taken to YouTube to spill the secrets of a marriage in an apparent effort to gain leverage and humiliate the other side.

“This is absolutely a new step, and I think it’s scary,” said Bonnie Rabin, a divorce lawyer who has handled high-profile cases…”

There will be those who will contend that this is another civil right granted by free speech. That is not to confuse civil rights with basic common civility.
