Schools Follow Students onto YouTube

With a laptop and a headset, it is possible to survive a boring lecture with a bit of YouTube distraction. If your educational institution follows Kyoto University, YouTube will no longer be diversion. YouTube will become educational:

“KYOTO–Kyoto University and U.S.-based Google Inc. have begun providing lectures and educational materials on the free video-sharing Web site YouTube.

The project aims to attract outstanding students and researchers both domestically and abroad.”

Soon there might be a phenomenon whereby your professor not only has a good local reputation for having interesting classes. With the help of Google, your professor may be a ‘YouTube star’.
