The Supply and Demand Issue for Identity Thieves

As with all economic structures, identity thieves have to contend with the issue of supply and demand. With all the data breaches, there seems to be an overabundance of supply:

It is disheartening to think that data breaches and identity theft have reached such a level that the thieves have to discount their stolen information. Perhaps it is just a clever ploy by the authorities to slow the theft of laptops, the search for online data bases, the hacking of unsecured wireless connections…
