Kudos to David Murphy - Eleven Years Old

David Murphy is eleven years old. His quick thinking and initiative most likely saved many lives and prevented a catastrophe:
“CLEVELAND (AP) - The 11-year-old Cleveland boy who steered a runaway school bus to safety said Wednesday he took the wheel because the bus was rolling toward a semi.”

That driver should be fired.
I am a school bus driver. Here in California the Highway Patrol issues a ‘School Bus Certificate’ to all school bus drivers, after they pass the DMV tests.
When you’re tested by the CHP, one of the requirements is that they have you do a ”crossing’, where you exit the bus, stop traffic, and direct a child across the street. If, when you’re being tested you leave the keys in the ignition, you automatically fail - and sometimes the officer testing you will drive the bus down the street a bit, or even back to the CHP station.
