Politicians Do Not ‘Feel Our Pain’

President Bill Clinton famously said “I feel your pain“.
It is very unlikely. President and Senator Clinton have made approximately one hundred and nine million dollars ($109,000,000.00) since 2000. And this is not a condemnation of free enterprise. Kudos for earning such a lucrative income. The Clintons are not alone. Senator Obama has considerable wealth, as does the Senator McCain and his family.
These politicians may talk about the economic pressures but…
- have they had to wonder and worry about how to pay the rent?
- have they filled the car with less gas so that the family budget is not exceeded for the week?
- have they searched for bargains so that the family food funds lasts until the next paycheck?
- have they ever delayed a visit to the doctor because there isn’t enough money in the bank account?
- have they ever had to consider that an illness to one of the children would mean financial ruin to the family?
Of course, the answer is “no”. These politicians understand it from a distance. It is an intellectual exercise. For so many of their fellow citizens, it is a harsh reality. And in the light of day, these politicians have no idea of the constant cloud of worry, concern and fear that their fellow citizens live with from day to day. No idea whatsoever…

Everybody needs to get ready for the Greater Depression. Save yourself and your family by getting out of debt and buying gold and silver.

Absolutely correct! There is no way that things will change for the better unless politicians, somehow, are made to feel our pain. I don’t have much hope of that ever happening.

Ah, but they’re all too eager to increase taxes statewide for the building of some light rail project that most of us don’t have the money to drive to see, and the bicycle trails, “improvement” projects, and such. The trouble is, they’ve already p*ssed away the money for infrastructure repair, thus taxes have to be raised to rebuild the bridges that fall down. What? Cancel a project thats already appropriated? Perish the thought! Just jack up the taxes some more!
What choice do the taxpayers have?
Ask again why many politicians want “gun control”, which really means disarm the peasants so they can’t fight back.

This is a great. I don’t understand why the American people keep voting for leaders who have no understanding or insight as to what the average American, thinks, feels or how they live. Our leaders have always been from very wealthy backgrounds, with wealthy friends and wealthy parents. It would be nice to have someone who could relate from expeience on the struggles of everyday life, (gas, food, education etc…) Our leaders are not in touch with us, because they’ve never been “us”. They are in touch with the top 3% of the wealth in this country. And lately it has seemed that, the top 3% and our international relations are all that matter. Meanwhile we are left to fend for ourselves with outrageous health bills, college tuition costs and $3.50/gallon.

Discussing “what politicians should or should not do” is akin to discussing “why oranges should or should not be purple”. These people don’t care about YOU! They only care about their own GLORY! You would think that intelligent human beings would have figured that out thousands of years ago…. But, NOOOOOOOOOO!
Keep on voting, morons… See where it gets ya!

The fact that you don’t need a leader is the FIRST lesson you learn as an adult!
